Before picking up the phone to call a plumber, what if a simple bottle of water could do the trick? Yes, you read that right: a plastic bottle, a few everyday ingredients, and a little pressure. Strange, right?

Fortunately, there's a simple yet effective  home trick    to give your pipes a fresh look,   without having to resort to harsh chemicals or dismantle everything.

Salt: Your Unexpected Ally Against Traffic Jams

Step one: head to the kitchen. Grab some   coarse salt  , your old pantry staple. Pour a   generous handful (about 100g)   into the sink to create a gentle abrasive effect. It helps dissolve grease and residue that slows the flow of water. A bonus: when combined with hot water,   it acts as a natural drain cleaner.
