Fresh cucumber lemonade

Detailed instructions

  1. Blend the cucumber:   Place the peeled and diced cucumbers in a blender with   1 cup of   cold water. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and liquid.

  2. Strain (optional):   If you prefer a clear lemonade, strain the cucumber puree through a fine strainer or nut milk bag into a large pitcher to remove the pulp. For a more fibrous, agua fresca-style lemonade, you can skip this step.

  3. Prepare the base:   Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and your chosen sweetener (honey or sugar) to a pitcher. Stir vigorously until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

  4. Dilution:   Pour in the remaining   3 cups   of cold water and mix well.

  5. Taste:   Taste it quickly. If it's too tart, add another tablespoon of sweetener. If it's too sweet, add a splash of lemon juice or water.

  6. Chill and garnish:   Add plenty of ice cubes to the pitcher. Add a few lemon and cucumber slices for a beautiful presentation.

  7. Serving:   Pour into glasses and garnish with a fresh mint leaf for an extra burst of flavor.
